Eliza Hopewell (b.1994) is based in Lewisham, UK working across painting, printmaking, and furniture. Her practice explores the difference between the interior and exterior worlds of women, and endeavors to open up the private, imaginary spaces that women occupy away from the public performance of femininity. Drawing on cinema and literature, her work tells nuanced and sensitive stories of womanhood. Blending history and the present day, Eliza provides us with images of women filtered through a contemporary lens.
