JEEWI LEE
Jeewi Lee (b.1987, Seoul) is a Berlin based artist whose multidisciplinary practice examines memory, time and decay. Jeewi studied painting at the Berlin University of the Arts and at Hunter College University in New York. In her work, she deals with traces (physically and conceptually) that exist as residues of past lives, recalling the passage of time; a visual allegory for lived experience – of history, place, memory and the body. Jeewi's interest in trace is the co-existence of presence and absence and the intersection of past and present.
