Daisy Parris’ vibrant work raises questions about identity politics as well as the limits of what it means to be human and how we identify as human. By using various formats in her paintings, such as portraiture, roomscapes and text she focuses on identity struggles as well as the worry, guilt, numbness and violent encounters of everyday existence. Born 1993 in Kent, Daisy graduated from Goldsmiths University in 2014. Her work has been exhibited in the U.K, Germany, Sweden, Portugal and the U.S. including solo shows in London (The Chopping Block Gallery) and Lisbon (Las Palmas Project). Blank100 will showcase her latest large scale works exclusively.
